WHAT IS META CORTEX?
Meta Cortex is an independent streetwear and pop-culture design brand dedicated to fan-inspired artwork, cult references, and premium products for people who love movies, TV, video games, and the strange details that live between them.
Originally created in 2006 by one career geek and designer, Meta Cortex has spent years operating beneath the radar, creating thousands of designs and selling to hundreds of thousands of fellow fans around the world.
At its core, Meta Cortex is home to original fan-inspired artwork printed on premium products, with a focus on nostalgia, humour, cult pop culture, and the right references that only fellow fans recognise.
It’s part shop, part showcase, and part hidden backstreet shop you somehow stumble across and immediately feel like you were meant to find. A place to discover designs inspired by the films, shows, games, characters, fake companies, fictional locations, and weird little moments that made a mark.

Hi, i'm Lee, the neuro-fabulous creator, graphic artist and general all round idiot behind Meta Cortex. I'm mostly constructed of space-age materials and fueled by caffeine, misanthropy and harsh language. I'm mostly known for being a collosal nerd with a lifelong obsession for all things pop-culture.
When I'm not doing this I'm usually being a dad, composing music, writing or wrestling with my own existential headspace with a side order of imposter syndrome.
I created Meta Cortex as a way to showcase my design and illustration work that just happens to resonate with fellow fans around the world.
